Does the AMD A6-7400K have better gaming performance than the AMD A8-6600K if I have 2400MHz ram?

I can get either cpu for free, and would like to build a small cheap pc to play some oldies on a 720p tv (such as mass effect series).I don't think these games were optimized for multi-cores so better graphics will probably be better.From the 3Dmark scores posted, the R5 in the 7400k gets a better score than the 6600k.

Maybe, but still buying gpu will be better than new processor for gaming

From personal experience yes it has a decent amount more gpu performance that's about the same as the 6800k but the weak cpu on the dual core can be limiting when playing more modern games
