Does the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition go with this motherboard?

AMD HDZ965FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 965 - 3.4 Ghz AM3 Black Edition CPU, Retail Packaged processor

with the

Asus M5A78L-M LX Motherboard (Micro ATX, Socket AM3+, 5200MT/S, DDR3, Core Unlocker) motherboard

from Amazon

and I need to be sure they go together. Do you know if they do?

The M5A78-M LX does not support a 125W CPU

That board does not officially support CPUs with TDPs greater than 95 W, it might work, it might not, but i wouldn't bet on it.

according to the maker of the board no it doesnt only takes 95W parts you would want this one

right so i will cancel the mobo i've ordered and get this one... Asus M5A78L-M LX V2 Motherboard and that will work with the AMD HDZ965FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 965 - 3.4 Ghz AM3 Black Edition?

i also ordered the

Corsair CMPSU-500CXV2UK Builder Series CX500V2 - 80 Plus Certified Power Supply

and the

Asus nVIDIA 3D GeForce GT 440 Graphics Card (1GB, GDDR5)

if that changes anything?

Your PSU choice is good.
As for the GPU, get the HD 6670 instead of the GT 440

i just did the same mistake today and i need to return my MB,

bought the same 2 CPU and motherboard haha....

now im tryin to find what does the HDZ965FBGM BOX means, because i found a MB compatible with 965 but with model numbers of HDZ965FBK4DGM and HDZ965FBK4DGI :/ anyone can help me out?

The CPU fitted in fine but the stock cooler that came with it doesn't appear to fit the module ID's aren't in the Support list but I just think because you need an aftermarket Cooler?
