does the area of your PC change the performance?

So i have my PC on my desk kind of tucked up away in the corner covered by a small wall. i was wondering because ever since i moved it from behind my monitor it has started preforming worse. Is it just the games i am play or is it actualy the position. The window is on the other side of the room and i uselly have the window closed. (Btw My directx just stops responding randomly sometimes) here are my specs because these may be useful for some people
Specs:
CPU: Intel core i5 4460 LGA1150
GPU: Nividia GTX 710 1 GB (Upgrading to a Nividia GTX 1050TI At Christmas)
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Z97P-d3
RAM: 4GB (Not sure what type)
Disk drive
1TB Hard Drive

It may make your WIFI a little worse, but pure powerhouse performance? never heard such thing... unless you are blocking heat vents big time.

Unless you have blocked off the majority of airflow through the case, no. When was the last time you updated your nvidia drivers? Directx errors usually have to do with the gpu and drivers.

I update them all the time and i installed the last one befor posting this thread
