Does the asrock b250m-hdv mobo support 5.1 audio?

Im asking because in the manual says that support 7.1 ch hd audio, obviously, I have installed the realtek HD audio driver and the option of 5.1 appears in the pull-down menu of the driver software in the speakers configuration, but i dont now how to connect a 5.1 speaker to this motherboard

The mobo these 3 lime, light blue and pink plugs, the manual say that to use the 7.1 ch hd you have to connect those 3

Or do i have to buy a sound card that support 5.1?

If it supports 7.1 it will support 5.1 too, you just have to have speakers that support 5.1 and connect in right places.
5.1 means 2 front + 2 rear + 1 woofer. Check your MB manual to see where to plug speakers in.
Normally it's Green for front, Black for Woofer/Base and another with usually reprogram-able output. Pink is usually for microphone and Blue for input. If it's with Realtek chip it would inform you what you plugged in a port and ask for confirmation.

In fact, in the mb manual it says this:

Function of the Audio Ports in 7.1 channel configuration:

Light blue (Rear panel) = Rear speaker out

Lime (Rear panel) = Front speaker out

Pink (Rear panel) = Central/Subwoofer speaker out

Lime (Front panel) = Side speaker out

So i think the only ones that i have to connect are the lime port to the green, the pink port to the black and the light blue port to the orange to activate the 5.1 channel (And previuosly selected the 5.1 configuration in the realtek control panel), what do you think?

Actually. the green is for the front speaker, the orange for the central/subwoofer and the black for the rear speaker. I plugged the green cable to the green port, the orange cable to the pink port and the black cable to the blue port. My logitech x-530 works great in that way.
