I know I should have done all my research before purchasing this motherboard but it is my first build and I got excited. My Asus z270 prime is paid for and on its way.

So my question is does this motherborad already have wireless WiFi capability or do I need to look into additional hardware?

If so what's the best product to purchase for wireless wifi.

Thank you.

No, the Asus Prime Z270 motherboard doesn't have on-board wireless capability. You would need an additional PCIe x1 wireless adapter card to plug in one of the PCIe x1 slots of your motherboard to be able to get that feature (sold separately), such as this: Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter ($29.99 @ SuperBiiz)

If you want an Asus Z270 motherboard that has on-board Wi-Fi, then, these are some of the choices you should be looking at:

Asus ROG Maximus IX Formula (ATX size)
Asus ROG Maximus IX Code (ATX size)
Asus ROG Strix Z270E Gaming (ATX size)
[strike]Asus ROG Strix Z270H Gaming (ATX size)[/strike]
Asus ROG Strix Z270G Gaming (mATX size)
Asus ROG Strix Z270I Gaming (ITX size)

EDIT: Z270H doesn't have onboard Wi-Fi (only the E, G, and I).
