Does the core 2 quad q9900 support ddr400?

I have an old mobo lga 775 with ddr400 ram somehow... it has a pentium 4 that came and works with it. I need a good, fast dual core or up cpu to run in it. Any recommendations?

While both VIA PT880 and i865PE chipsets did support Core 2 Duo with DDR1, they do not work with Quads and only go up to 1066 FSB. Whether your motherboard works with a Duo depends on its chipset, VRM and BIOS.
