Does the Extreme 3 870 support am3+ with bios update?

Like the name says. I'm looking to just replace my current phenom ii X4 955 with the newer amd fx quadcore. Just wondering if my mobo would support it with a bios update?

Thanks for the quick response. I have what ever the latest revision of the 955 was in march 2011.
