If been trying to overclock my 8350 for a few days now and it seems that it just does not want to budge. This is what I currently have it at and I've tried to push for it to be at 4.2 but it doesn't not want it. My motherboard is a M5A97 R2.0 . Cooling with the H60 I am not using overdrive , I'm just using it to show what voltage i've put on the board and ect. I'm scared to add more voltage. I have a nice 650 watt corsair psu and the voltage on stock was 1.26 . If i can any advice I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

The M5A97 R2.0 is equipped with only a 4+2 VRM, which isn't meant for seriously overclocking, especially with an 8-core.

If you can put some active cooling on the VRM - like a small fan blowing directly on the VRM area - you can probably give yourself some headroom.

If you can reach 4.4ghz with stability, I would call it good at that. Trying to eke out performance above that is certainly the point of diminishing returns.
