Does the GA-P35-DS3L work with a HD 7770 card?

i've been out of the loop as far as what card is good and what isn't for the past couple of years or so, but does my GA-P35-DS3L(PCI Express 1.0 X16 slot) work with a Radeon HD 7770(PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot)? And if so, what is the performance difference between putting it in a 1.0 vs. a 3.0? my current card(HD 4850) is going bad so im looking for an upgrade. any help is appreciated!

Actually it's PCI Express 1.1 x16 slot.
You will have no compatibility issues when using this card.
The performance difference should be minimal since the HD 7770 is a mid range card.
