Does the Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P need a BIOS update for the AMD fx 8350

This question has been asked already, but I cant seem to figure it out, the person, whose answer was the best, says you dont need to do it. Yet on the website he mentions it clearly says: "To enable AM3+ AMD FX-Series CPU support, please update your motherboard with the most current BIOS found in your motherboard’s download section."

In both cases, those are initial BIOS versions, so no need to update BIOS (on this motherboard!).
