I'm planning on getting a 1080ti for league of legends which runs on directx 9, and i think if the 1080ti doesnt support dx9 then my performance will be limited?

The reason i want a 1080ti for LOL is because i want to stream, stay above 144 fps (in teamfights etc), run at max settings, and use other programs in the background.

Thanks.

I'm not sure you need a 1080ti to achieve your goals in LOL. What resolution are you playing at? I'm not even sure 4K would need anywhere near that power, but you might want to check out some benchmarks. Looking at the following review, at 1080p a super cheap 7770 or 650ti is enough, though perhaps you want a little more to handle the streaming, though your CPU could be what holds you back there.

A 1080ti is kind of like bringing an atomic bomb to a knife fight.

I agree with bystander you really do not need a 1080ti for LOL. Instead i would recommend buying a 1070 at the most and using the saved money to get a better CPU

Pretty sure you could achieve the same result with a 1060, ever heard of over kill ? 😛
