Does the GTX 970 Windforce need a fully separate second power cable?

Hello guys, I need some help.
My power supply, a more than capable RM750 from Corsair comes with two modular cables, labeled PCI-E each with two 6+2 connectors. My new Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce uses 8+6 connectors for power, for a max TDP of 280 watts. Should I use two separate power cables (Option 2) or just one, using the two connectors (Option 1)? (Colors refer to the image)

Im confused, are you asking if you can just plug in the 6+2 and leave the other 6 off? if so then no. Not really sure about the colors you're referring to as I dont own that PSU.

Did you see the image? The colors refer to it.

If you couldn't use both plugs on the cable they wouldn't have put 2 on it. So using 1 cable is fine.

Yes, I know I wasn't sure because the power limit of the card is too high. I didn't know if it would be enough. Thanks!

Ok sorry yeah I was worried for a second because of my dumb confusion. Yes what he said. If the PSU couldnt do it, they wouldn't have it that way. Enjoy the card
