Does the Nvidia 980 require a bridge for SLI?

Solution
Does the Nvidia 980 require a bridge for SLI? Yes
If the motherboard supports SLI they normally have the SLI bridge(s) in the box. If you have an OEM/prebuilt system you may need to buy them. Are you sure that you motherboard supports SLI? If you are not sure post the make and the model of the motherboard or system(if it's OEM).

Ah I found it! It was still in the box. Phew, glad I didn't throw the box out!

The sticker says "ASUS 2-Way/3-Way SLI bridge." Will this work with my 3x Gigabyte Gaming G1 4GB Nvidia 980s? I have three. I'm so confused!!! It's been 7 years since I last bought a new computer and it was a laptop. The crossfire bridge was insanely self-explanatory. I have the whole computer built except the SLI bridge thingy, so on which of the 3 cards do I place this bridge?

I have 3 of these bad boys all side by side on my mobo at the moment! Thanks so far for your help!

P.S.: I have 6 fans but only 4 mobo fan headers. If I plug the fans into my PSU will they still be able to be controlled by the mobo automatically or will they run at max all the time?

Whatever I can possibly think of twice at the same time... I will use this as a server for gaming WHILE actually gaming, so some really insanely serious horsepower is needed. Playing a game while hosting a host myself with 16 people is a lot to expect out of a computer, but I chose this in order to consolidate what would be two PC's into one uber PC.

I use a 1080p 3D DLP 144Hz projector as my screen as large as 150" lol, so yeah, I'm pretty heavy into movies and games on this bad boy
