[SOLVED] Does the oc sound correct

Oc 4.7ghz
Voltz 1.200
Temps using prime95 70c running for (15 Mins) as of writing

Does the voltz seem really low for that oc

if it's stable then consider yourself lucky, however, 15mins is only a good enough test to determine if you should do a proper test 4-8 hours is good.

Max recommended Vcore is 1.3 for the 4 th generation cpus... I would try more than one artifical test to see if its stable.

That's a good point, my 3rd gen was stable in stability tests for hours on end, but would throw up WHEA errors on BF3, added 0.005V and it was fine.

So if I boot up a game and use msi afterburner and turn on cpu power it goes to 1.5w

so i just loaded up a game and has msi afterburner open and cpu power ticked to show in game that was sshowing 1.5w that normal

if it goes to 1,5 volts you will probably have heat issues and unstability yeah. but unless you have the volts to auto it shouldnt do that,

i have ingame overlay on and cpu power ticked in the overlay its show 1.5W

Cpu power is not the same as cpu voltage. Tell us what the voltage is at load, synthetic load will be fine for that.

fire up CPU-z or hardwaremonitor and check what the volts are on the CPU when running the benchmark prime95

does not change with running prime or not only termps change also running the small stress test

Then if the voltage you have shown is is under load, game or otherwise, and the temps are what you say they are, then there are no immediate problems, but having set the voltage to manual it might idle warm.

And you need to do a lot more stability testing, the reason is that if it crashes during an update or an install it can cause serious problems, hence you need to be sure it is fully stable and not just kind of stable, and 15mins is just might be stable.

so that 1.5 showing is not voltz then and 35 idle with just chrome open
