Question Does the PCIe or the Type4 go to the GPU?

My PSU comes with a 6+2 PCIe cable, on one end it has 2 PCIe cables 1 about 5inch apart from the other. On the other end of the cable it has a 8 pin type4 connector. My PSU only has 1 8 pins option, so I assume that the end with the single 8 pin goes in it (type4 connector).
Just wanna check plz.

Only the PCI-e cables needs to be plugged into the GPU, any 6+2 pin cables, not the type 4 8-pin connector. Which GPU and PSU model is it, btw ? Are you talking about the EPS12V/ATX12V cable ?

Yes, I think the other end should go into the PSU itself. But first show me an actual pic of the cable, if possible (is it 6-pin). Only the cables labelled as PCI-E (6+2-pin) are needed for the Video card (as shown on the image above).

Yes on 1 end it is a 6+2 the other is not

Things only slot into things they can fit, so no matter what. Unless you force it in hard, nothing will fit in backwards or wrong.
Everything should just slide in and click.
If you have to apply pressure to get any plug into a socket, then it is the wrong plug.
