Does the PSU reduce the overall heat of the PC?

Again it's me with kind of a stupid question, I just want to ask, does the PSU affect the heat of the CPU and GPU your PC is running at? For example will there be a difference if I change my 300w PSU to a 500w one?

All power does is give the card or chip power to work. So in theory it should be a smaller PSU that makes them cooler because less wattage less work they can do and less heat output. But realistically that makes no sense.

A PSU will only provide what is needed, and no more, so in the example of the 300 and 500w PSUs they will both provide perhaps 250w.

However the 300w PSU will be nearer the limit and be less efficient, whilst the 500w will be in it's sweet spot. Poor efficiency is the cause of heat.

Also the 500w will have better heat sinks and fans and be able to manage that great better.

The fan cools the PSU. It too has electronic components inside doing work that need cooling.

So I'm not really experienced as you can see, could you take a look at the temp of my PC (keep in mind its a pretty hot day outside around 30c) are they fine? The system is idle, this is my biggest concern when I looked at these, that's why I started asking and questioning my self if it's the PSU that will make the difference.

I think it's just the standart intel cooler, i didn't replace it since i just bought the computer out of the shop, as the the GPU it's the GeForce GTX 750ti. Temps are pretty much normal , considering it's around 30C where you are.

For stock those aren't bad idles. That Noctua would probably make a difference, especially temps for when the CPU is doing work.

Higher 80 rating (Titanium, Platinum, Gold) the less heat output.
Because the better efficiency the less heat output.
