Does the Ram memory needs to be the same model to work?

i curently have the Ramaxel RMUA5110ME78HAF-2666 8GB ddr4 ram , if i want to upgrade to 16 buying a Corsair 8GB, DDR4, CL16, 2666 MHz, Vengeance , do they work toghether?

they might, might not... best to get a kit of which are guaranteed to work together.

I have newer had any problems, mixing RAM from different brands, speeds or sizes. I have heard rumors about that there can be problems, but I have never seen it my self.
