does the ZALMAN CNPS9700 cooler fit on ASUS P5Q Deluxe mobo

Hi guys! My friend has a ZALMAN CNPS9700 cooler that he'll sell me, but I don't know if it will fit on my ASUS P5Q Deluxe motherboard. I would just try to stick it on there, but the cooler is brand new and my friend doesn't want to open it so he could return it if I don't want it.

check what sockets it fits if it fits a LGA775 than yes it will fit

the sockets are fine, that matches. Its the the stuff on the mobo that makes me think it might not fit like the copper heat sink on the mobo

I don't know myself, but I know the Thermaltake V1 fits in there nicely, and looks cool against the copper all around it. I can't wait till the Thermaltake V14 expected to be released at the end of the this year.

it should fit since the cooler rise quite high before "expand".but if he is selling you at full price dont bother cost the performance is "poor" these days considering other much cheaper cooler can do better.
