ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI II
MSI A520M-A PRO

Hey there,

The short answer is, yes. They can both take the 5700g. You may need to update your bios before putting in the new CPU though. Do you currently have an older gen Ryzen CPU? Are you buyinh the mobo new? If so, we can figure out what bios they come with when purchased new.

A520 is the latest version. You can overclock ram upto 4666mhz. For budget build, I will suggest b450 over a520 because you can overclock your cpu and for it's vram cooling and b series mobo support 8 pin power pin whereas a series mobo support 4 pin power pin. But b550 is the best but overpriced in my area. So pros and cons of these are :
A520 :
  1. newest
  2. software support for a long time because it's a new product
  3. 2-3 fps more on a520 over b450
  4. vram cooling very bad
  5. 4 pin power connector
B450:
  1. oldest
  2. software support will not be available for a long time. It will get 1 year support, i think. Amd company want to stop service on b450
  3. vram cooling better than a520. So temperature will be low than a520
  4. 8 pin power connector. So, power utilization will be great
B550:
  1. Pcl 4.0
  2. Price high
