I was thinking of building a gaming pc but have no idea on what i m doin... So i figured out posting this would help... so would this work??..

15-6500
Ballistix sport 8gb
Cooler master hyper
Seagate 1tb hdd
Corsair 550w
Msi gtx 750ti

If you are playing modern games at 1080p, the 750Ti won't let you run at high settings with good frame rates. If using low or medium is ok with you, it will work. Here's a better PSU in terms of quality:

This will also work should you step up to a GTX 960 or 970.

Should i go with amd R9 390 or gtx 970??
Is ballistix sports 8gb ddr4 better than g.skill rip jaws v 8gb ddr4??..
How about the fan... ?

Either one will work. The (70 will draw less power.
