Hey, I have a gigabyte B75-HD3.

I know, there are a lot of other motherboards on the market. But not here sadly, this is the most affordable one I can get here and basically best choice, the other one I could get is a H61 and that's old.

Anyways. I am looking to buy Gigabyte R9 270X or Asus GTX 760.
Now, I'm asking does these two GPUs support the motherboard?

On the site, it says it does. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4389#sp

But, I'm worried cause some "idiot" told me it wouldn't even support the HD 6950, or even the HD 7870.

so what do you guys think?

Hey, thanks for the fast reply. I'm just going to ask you one more time.

The specs are:

i5 3470
4GB Kingston HyperX
Gigabyte B75M
and finally 500 Watt Gigabyte PSU, (I'm going to change this - it's not working) So, a 550 Watt PSU would be fine for this and it will work fine, right?

You've already helped me quite well.

Thing is, I have the money - but I am not sure if I should spend it on the GTX 760.

Here, in my country, its more expensive, so the GTX 760 is at $341 Meanwhile the R9 270X is at $279.

The R9 would be the Gigabyte windforce, and the GTX 760 would be Asus. But I have no idea if I should take the GTX 760, if it was like $300, I would have taken it, because I saw it at $265.

Very well. I will go with the R9 270x then. Could you give me a source on this though?

The games I'm going to play are Saints row, GTA IV, And COD:Ghosts, etc. Simple new games.

Thanks again.

It beats in BF4

However, in COD Ghosts the GTX 760 has shown better results. In most games GTX 760 will perform better, but I am not sure if 50$+ is worth for few extra FPS.

I also have a question for you, I have a Intel™ Core i7-4820k processor, and I'm going to get an ASUS GeForce GTX 770 and Kingston HyperX Beast 16 Gigabyte memory, I was wondering how much power supply I needed, can you help me?
