Does this Hdmi to VGA adapter work?

I am trying to use an old monitor which only has vga/dvi, but my graphics card only have one dvi which is already being used. So i wanted to use my hdmi port with this cable so i can use my VGA cable and connect to the monitor. Is this going to work? I dont need audio or anything else, just 60hz 1080p.

I am asking because i heard that it might not work because one is analog and the other one is digital.

You'll need an "active" adapter. This has a chip in it to convert from digital video to a VGA analog signal. It doesn't really have any specifications it just says signal converter, i mean it is a hdmi to vga adapter, why wouldn't work?
