Basically the motherboard does not POST, and does not beep at all (I've tested the speaker on 2 different computers, and it beeps just fine).
I also keep getting the error code (b0). According to the manual it means (Runtime Set Virtual Address Map Begin).
This is my 5th build (2nd Dual-Xeon build). And it's the first time I've encountered a problem while building a computer.
Things I've tried doing to fix the problem:
- Triple-checked the CPU plugs.
- Bought a different PSU (both work just fine on a different build)
- Tried different sticks of RAM in different places (according to the manual).
- Used unregistered RAM from my other DDR4 computer.
- Cleared the CMOS.
- Flashed the motherboard. (it went smoothly, exactly as described in the manual).
- Tried turning it on with just the CPUs and the heat sinks installed. (same error code and no beeps, yes it did NOT beep even with no RAM or GPU installed).
- I tried all of the above while breadboarding.
At this point I just want it to beep, or to do anything, other than showing (b0).
Things I've noticed that may or may not be related to the problem:
- Once it reaches the code (b0) the CPU fans go on full power. (I assumed it's normal for all PC fans to go on full power when you first turn them on)
- The CPU only supports DDR4 1600/1866. And my RAM speed is 2133, but the problem persists even with no RAM installed.
- The CPU socket is FC LGA2011-3 (I read online that this is not a problem)
- There are no error (red) LED tuned on whatsoever, even when I unplug the CPU power cord. (Does this mean the motherboard is dead?)
Finally, I can't return any of the components because I bought them off of Amazon and I used a different courier to ship them to where I live (I don't reside in the United States). Nevermind the money I paid in customs.
