[SOLVED] Does this monitor go well with my intended upgrade?

So basically i know It will run games in 2k now pretty well, my concerns are,
1. Does freesync eliminate the need to get +100 fps in every game to match the max Hz of 144?
2. Will It still be able to run games in 2k in five years time? Or will i have yo be upgrading constantly?

You do need 144fps to experience the smooth 144hz display. Freesync does not eliminate that. You will still be able to set your monitor on 144hz, but if you don't get that 144fps, it would reach it full potential.
Games do tent to get heavier each year, so even though if you will be able to play games in 2k in five years, it wound't be on the highest settings.
