Okay so heres the deal, my processor is... well lets just say behind the times. I have an opportunity to get a FREE celeron 333. Free is a good price for me. However Ill need too buy a new board. What I have now is an AT power supply, 128mb EDO (72 pin)ram and a I believe its a dma 33 drive... dont need agp. So is there a board out there that I can just pick up, slap in and viola processor upgrade?

My opinion, change out the power supply to 20 pin atx and get some pc 133 sdram dimms. You'll have a whole bunch of options...

Impossible to find a slot 1 board that is still in production and supports EDO memory. You may be able to find a secondhand very early FX chipset slot 1 board in AT format that supports EDO.

There are slot 1 AT boards still available, usually from the "lower end" producers, but most of these require SDram.
Here's a couple of examples:-

Maybe it's time to upgrade your case to an ATX and your memory to SDram? You should be able to get a fair price for your EDO as it is usually more expensive than SDram, at least that's the way it is here in Australia.

i think the Asus MEL-B is the one for you but the memory.
this mobo use SDRAM, socket370, 440LX chipset and baby-AT form factor. moreover, bet on SDRAM is better than keep those 72pin EDO coz *NO* P6-class mobo support 72pin RAM (except PPro's socket8 and very early stage Slot-1 440FX mobo)

aha! finally the cheap person I was looking for has replied, this is good because memory is so cheap right now too... now too find this board... heads off too pricewatch...
