I'm using ASUS H97 pro gamer motherboard and Logitech G633 headset... after install Logitech Gaming Software and i test the 7.1 surround sound but the sound not 7.1 just a stereo and sounds like Robotic...

Solution

I'm using the USB cable from G633 connect to pc but it still stereo mode not sound 7.1

Your Motherboard does support 7.1 but when using USB this is irrelevant, you should be able to find Surround settings in the drivers/software package for your Headset. AFAIK the G633 has multiple Surround Sound options in the Logitech Gaming software which is DTS or Dolby Headphone. Otherwise it's just Stereo by default. Hope this helps! :)

so that's mean i can use DTS and Dolby surround but only in stereo because my motherboard not support 7.1 and no 7.1 sound effect?

No, when using USB the surround support on the Motherboard is irrelevant, you're not using the onboard sound card the processing is being done by the USB headset. If you're using DTS or Dolby Headphone that is the Headphones' surround sound profiles. With neither enabled, it's just Stereo mode.

so how to fix this problem? i really need 7.1 surround to hear footsteps in game

What problem? As i said above, your Motherboard is playing no part in supporting surround sound... If you have enabled either DTS or Dolby Headphone in the Logitech Gaming Software for your G633, it is running in the surround sound profile, you should notice the difference if you play music or a game while you turn it on/off.
