Does my mother board supports 8gb ddr3 ram ? Its the asus p7p55d.

I had 4 gb(2x2 1600mhz) and replaced it with 8gb (4x2 1333mhz) , and my pc is now stucking at windows 7 boot screen , a bluescreen for 2 seconds and it reboots again. I installed the ram exactly as the 4gb i had.

What is causing this ?

This is from your mobo specifications :
Memory
4 x DIMM, Max. 16 GB, DDR3 2200(O.C.)*/1600/1333/1066 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture
Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)
*Hyper DIMM support is subject to the physical characteristics of individual CPUs. Some hyper DIMMs only support one DIMM per channel.

Bad RAM module or loosy contact

Power off
Reconect
Power ON
Run Memtest86+ for 100% - 1 pass atleast 2-3 advised
If you have no issues - red errors then you can go for OS boot

P.S. - some times if the OS is under BAD RAM + blue screen you have to reinstall - in rear cases but it happens ....

So i should re-install windows ?

If you pass MEMTEST for 1-2 passes and you still have BLUE SCREEN -> yes - it baybe have some system files coruption

How can i try the memtest ? i cant boot into windows

Hiren`s Boot CD 15.xx
download ISO
Burn on CD/DVD or make boot USB
Boot from it
Use the menu to navigate to Dos programs
Testing > Memtest86+
