I'm planning to replace my 2014-vintage desktop (i7-4790 w/16GB Ram).
Does anything on the following parts list sound ignorant?

CPU: Intel i7-12700K
MB: MSI Pro Z690-A Wifi, DDR4 w/6 SATA
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 32GB DDR4 (PC4 28800)
Case: Fractal Design Define R5
PSU: EVGA SuperNova 850 G6
M.2: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB w/1024 cache
Cooler: MSI MAG Core Liquid 240R
OS: Win10/64

Plan to migrate:
Philips BDR
3x4TB hard drives
EVGA Geforce GTX 970

@Newegg prices it will run about $1340 + $99 build + sales tax.

TIA for any sage advice!
Dave

Nice build ^^ . I'm throwing this out here to show you another option. This build down below uses less power and runs cooler while giving you similar results...
That is an excellent build minus the AIO cooler from MSI. I would get an Acrtic, Lian Li, or Corsair AIO over any of the other brands. The 970 evo plus is also an excellent drive, a PCIe 4.0 drive IMO is not worth the cost over a solid 3.0 drive. They are only ever faster when transferring large files and again are only faster while their cache is available, after that they are the same.

Thanks for your thoughts.
I chose the EVGA PSU for it's 10-year warranty, but can live with the Fractal PSU with its 7-year warranty.
By the time the warranty expires, I'll be pushing towards 85 years!

Another poster just suggested the PCIe 4.0 is not the bargain that might be assumed.

Newegg doesn't list any Fractal AIO within their PCBuilder app....candidly, I'm not sure if I really need it because I may never overclock anything.
Thanks again.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Your point about the SSD is new for me.
As for the cooler, I'm using the Newegg PCBuilder and although Newegg sells/ships the Artic cooler, the PCBuilder doesn't link to it.
Will investigate further!

the arctic cooler may not be compatible with the case you picked? Arctic AIOs use extra thick radiators and can sometimes cause clearance issues with the motherboard and RAM.
