[SOLVED] Does this pump surface affect the cooling performance?

I can’t explain further. It is better to check these photos. They are dents due to scratched surface. Should I fill those holes with thermal paste on pump’s cooling surface(NOT THE CPU) before I cover the pump onto the thermal compound applied CPU?

It shouldnt make any noticeable difference. Plus, the thermal paste will fill in the gap on its own so you dont need to do any extra work
