it actually is for "light" gaming but mostly just regular work. It's my first build..
Thanks for the response. I do want to game a little on steam. I play a simple game like Hacknet right now but want to play Arma and Dayz and the like eventually.

You could go with an i5 unless you're doing video or something more cpu intensive. Definitely change that psu. Going way over on capacity just kills the efficiency. If you think you are going to upgrade to high end cards and sli then go around 850w. Otherwise a single gpu, you could run most anything on a 500w.

Gracias! I'll be back with a better build. I just thought the gpu would future proof it for awhile , but if its not going to be needed or efficient i'll stick around that 850w range. Same with cpu. I thought bigger is better right. I know I can still get a lot going in the i5 range just...ya know lol. yeah , nothing too heavy just need to build a pc as most everything i do will be on it. I'm on a mac now but want the pc project to do for now. Thanks again and I'll check back with you.

Significantly different build, much much cheaper.

You aren't putting 2 gpus on that mobo so change the psu. Get a desktop hdd, that laptop one will be a lot slower. The cpu cooler is completely unnecessary with a locked cpu. Even if you were ocing, you would only need a $30 cooler for 4.5ghz. Why did you drop the gpu?
