I was wondering whether Toshiba Qosmio X70 has an MBR or GPT configuration by default? I posted on another thread about changing my bios from AHCI to SATA, as since I have done this my computer is running very slow, and takes forever to boot up. Sometimes I need to use Boot Disk Installer just to get it to boot up. Also, I am unable to access diskpart from the cmd prompt even with admin access. The recovery options don't work (I think the computer is unable to see or access the recovery partition. I am also unable to use the disk management tool from within Windows 8 itself. I downloaded MiniTool Partition Wizard Free, but after installling, when trying to run the program, it simply closes. Have been searching the internet for an answer to why this is happening for over a week now, but have thus far been unable to find a solution. I am wondering whether somehow I have inadvertantly changed the default (MBR/GPT) disk configuration. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
I am running Windows 8 on the Toshiba Qosmio. System has 16GB of ram.
