does windows 7 64 bit take more ram than 32 bit?

Well, I have 2 gb of ddr2 ram installed in my computer and windows 7 64 bit. But I want to ask if 64 bit takes more ram than 32 bit. I used to have 32 bit some months back, but upgraded it, because while playing assassin's creed 3, when I reached Boston for the first time, my pc froze and crashed . But after upgrading to 64 bit it didn't freeze. My real question is does 64 bit win 7 takes more ram or 32 bit. Its about the memory usage, not the amount of ram I install.

Yes, 64 bit does take more.
But, if it solved your problem, why worry?

2gb is not really good enough today. a 64 bit os will be happiest with 8gb.
Consider a 2 x 4gb kit.
