Does Windows stay in HDD?

So I'm swapping my motherboard to get a new processor for my old computer, and I want to know if I 'll need to buy Windows again or it will carry over with my old HDD that already has Windows in it. Dumb question, I know , but can you guys help me? And if you can, link a step by step process on how to set it to default boot up Windows on my HDD. Here is the Motherboard I'm getting:

And how will it perform on games with a GTX 660?

When Windows detects a new motherboard it will prompt you to go through the validation process again. That's all I'm going to say on the matter, but feel free to P.M. me if you run into trouble.
