Question Dolby 7.1 usb adapter usage on another headset

Hello , I was wondering about my arctis 7. It has wired connectivity with 3.5mm jack. I had corsair void surround before this headset and I (https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...O-Surround-USB-Dolby-7-1-Adapter/p/CA-8910039) have this adapter which functions as sound card (I think). Is it possible to use it with my arctis 7 and have surround sound ?

It'll probably do SOMETHING, But whether that something is crisp surround sound idk. These units are tested tested tested but only with the headsets they ship with.

It comes down to quality. If your headset and soundcard was better than your new set, yeah the card should improve things.

Surround can also be imitated with Windows Sonic which is built in and free, might not be as good, but you'll definitely have surround at the end of the day.

Just try it and find out if it works or theres an annoying buzz noise.
