I have an Acer Aspire M5 581-T ultrabook which is integrated with dolby home theater. it was working perfectly fine. But after my upgrade to WIn 10, it is not working properly. Dolby profile selector is not visible in the notofications area no matter how much I enable it in the settings and when i manually open the app from control panel it doesnt work(not turning on or off). It only works from properties tab within speakers. when its working, the profile selector doesnt work and changing the profiles and equalizer makes no difference( doesnt work). what can i do to make it work? please help. Any help is appreciated :)

Solution
My understanding is that Dolby Home Theater is integrated into the generic audio drivers. Were the original drivers Realtek High Definition Audio? In that case you should head on over here:

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

And download the latest Windows 10 64-bit drivers. After this, uninstall Dolby Home Theater from your system, and download the installer from here:

Reinstall Dolby Home Theater.

Solution
I've tried several "remedies" recommended from several sources, and the final word seems to be that it's not compatible. II uninstalled mine, and am using an app in it's place, which actually sounds better.
