Dolphin ran better on AMD?!

I bought a core i5 4690k thinking my performance in the dolphin emulator would improve I paired it with my old gtx 750ti SC and found that my new rig is performing worse than my old rig that was a fx 4300 paired with the same video card running on(8gb of ram) Windows 10 am I missing something?! Any and all help is appreciated thank you

All drivers installed, updated? Display cable is plugged into the graphics card?

Yes I triple checked and all is well In that front. The real issue seem to be a tweak in the emulation speed it will drop from 100% to roughly 60 going as low as 35% if I try a more demanding title (metroid prime echoes 2)

Did you do a fresh install of Windows after switching mobo and cpu? If no then start there.

@sizzling it's basically a brand new build had to install everything from scratch the only reused part is my GPU (sorry about the down vote I'm new to the forum and I can't undo it for some reason)

i used real temp and apparently I'm clocking in at about 94-96C under load

Upon further inspection it appears as though the cooler was not properly seated. I apologize I trusted he had checked thoroughly and this being my first build actual build I underestimated the scope of checking things myself. All seems to be well now (I still get occasional dropped speed to about 70% but I assume that is normal?) I appreciate your patience with this new PC builder thank you

new temps under load (Metroid prime 2) are a max of 46C btw
