Dolphin slows entire pc

I have a problem where I open up the dolphin emulator and the entire computer lags. I mean windows take a while to show up, actions take a minute, but the game runs fine. Is this just a problem with dolphin or how I installed it? Here are my pc specs.

i5-4790K
EVGA GTX 960 4GB SSC
8GB RAM
128GB SSD (OS)
1TB HD (Where dolphin is located)

I haven't ran Dolphin on my AMD yet but on my old Core 2 Quad I had a Q6600 OC'ed to 3.0 GHZ and it LAAGGEEDDD...I then upgraded to a Q9550 OC'ed to 3.2. The bump in FSB and 200 MHZ made it better (The game didn't lag) but the rest of the PC was super laggy still. Dolphin sucks up a lot of CPU power. Pretty sure that is normal even on a higher end machine.

try checking your cores on taskmanager it happened to me once but when i checked taskmanager it said that i had 1 core, try factory reseting it

Okay, thank you guys. I'm glad that I am not the only one experiencing that problem. I have checked the task manager and I still have all 4 cores. Does anyone know how to fix this or is it something that I can't fix and I have to wait and pray that they make a new dolphin version that fixes these problems?

so you are saying that when you play dolphin it slows your entire pc or also when you are not playing the game?

and btw there is no i5-4790K only i7-4790K or i5-4690K

Yeah, I think it starts lagging the computer when I start a game but it doesn't speed up when I close the game and dolphin. Also I didn't notice that typo, I have a i5-4690K.

after restarting your pc does your pc still lagg??

Yes I have the latest official build, but not the latest development build. When my pc is lagging and I restart it the problem goes away until I start dolphin again.

then you plobably installed the wrong version or something
you should try reinstalling or just wait for them to make a better version
