Domain and workgroup settings issue

Hi all,
i am facing issue in Vmware, when i install windows 7 or windows 8 and want to add the machine with domain it shows me the icon of the domain is grey out, i have tried several times to reinstall the windows but did not able to fix the issue, please any one would like to help me... i am waiting.

You either are not on an admin account or you are not installing a version of Windows that can join a domain. Or you have a policy setup that disables the option.
