Is investing in Domain Names still profitable?

No.

Risky and likely to lose money that you or anyone else would invest in such "prospects" or "schemes".

If you give someone money towards buying up Domain Names and that party actually sells some Domain Name you have no way of knowing how much (if any) of your investment will be really returned to you as your share.

Likely none.

Even with all sorts of fancy promises, optimistic forecasts, disclosures, agreements, etc..
