A friend of mine got a used monitor with what turned out to be a score across the bottom of the screen in the anti-glare coat.
Not knowing that the coat had been stripped off, and thinking it was something on the surface of the monitor, he scrubbed and scrubbed the monitor to try and get it off. (Not the smartest guy!)
Of course, that didn't work. Now he's scrubbed more of the coat off in little specs all around the bottom of the monitor, and it's really distracting.
The worst part? Not knowing he'd scrubbed more off, I said I'd trade him a mobo for the monitor, (it wasn't that bad to start with!) so now I'm being driven nuts by the job he's done to the anti-glare coat.
The question: is there any way to fix this? I don't think there is, but I'd like any ideas anyone has.
And will buying an anti-glare screen do anything? I don't think it will, because the light is being refected into bits of red green and blue where he's scrubbed it off.
