Don't feel like I'm getting the right fps.

I have:
i5 6600k overclocked to 4.1Ghz CPU
Saphhire Nitro+ Vega 64 GPU
16x1 DDR4 3000Mhz Ram
MSI Z270 Gaming plus motherboard
850W PSU
240GB SSD 1TB HDD

I'm barely reaching 144fps on rainbow six siege and on final fantasy XV I'm struggling at 60. Both of these are on very low graphics. On other benchmarks the graphics card is supposed to be getting a lot higher results. Is there any reason for this?

Is it the single channel memory?

Dual channel memory will help the cpu do more. However 4c 4t would see higher cpu usages which can starve a highend graphics card.

Look at test setup and settings they use.

2x8GB ram is faster than 1x16GB. Upgrade to i7 cpu, 6700k or update bios and go 7700k.

Should I upgrade to i7 first or get a second 16gb of ram that is the same for the dual channel memory.
