I have a gaming PC, but in our country power cut is a common thing. I am not planning on to buy a UPS anytime soon. So, does this sudden powering off causes any sort of damages to my PC components?

Yes it can happen. I suggest buying a UPS especially if the power cuts off often.

Power outages can damage anything and everything in the computer from the power supply to the motherboard to the video card, can cause hard drive issues, corrupt file systems, really anything.

The biggest risk is corruption of the file system on your HDD. If a power outage happens when a disk write is in process it could be corrupted.
Make sure you have good backups and can restore your entire system from them.

Maybe look for a relatively low-end UPS? It doesn't have to keep your PC up and running for any extended length of time, just enough to to smooth out brief power blinks, brown-out conditions and provide a few minutes for the system to shut down in the event of an extended outage.

I don't know how pricing is where you are, but there are a number available online here for around $50-$70 that would likely be good enough to handle that for most systems.
