I recently built a new system consisting of
i7 6700k (LGA 1151)
Noctua NH-D15
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Aura (LGA1151)
2x 16GB DDR4 2400 G.Skill Ripjaws
EVGA 750w PSU ( i believe its a G2)
Asus Strix 980 Ti (from a friend for 300$(Canadian))
Corsair 750D Airflow Edition.
Finally: Asus PCE-AC88 Wireless PCI express 1x card.
So what I'm looking for here is help figuring whats going on and what I can do about this.
While putting my system together I noticed the graphics cards both felt weird upon being placed into the PCI port. As with the Wireless card. At the initial setup I had put in an R9 380X, afterwards my friend put in the 980 Ti and he as well felt the strange offness with the insertion.
On and off I had slight issues with graphical crashes, and occasional but harmless disconnections.
But the last month or two Before and hell of a lot more after i got the 980 Ti, I keep getting disconnected continuously, and was even informed my CPU wasn't even overclocked- but ran at 1.4V+
So I'm at a loss here, I know somethings wrong, but I cant tell what. Is my CPU crap because Silicon or something? Is my Board off-chance an assembly mishap or is my case just uneven?
I did order a new Phanteks case to put everything into just so I can get peace of mind and know if its my case or motherboard. But that still leaves the whole CPU clocking issue, I had to under-clock it then so some boosts (Courtesy of my friend), which I am by no means an overclocker.
