News Don't Worry If You Lost Your CPU Sticker, Intel Will Send You One For Free

I really hope they still have some Intel Inside stickers for Pentium Pro processors.

The only time I wanted a computer labeled with anything, was the Woz-signature Apple IIgs.

That was 1986.

Still have very fond memories of my IIgs. My first real computer.

In response to the article - Yes, Intel has excellent marketing.

Although that is much better proved by this article's existence then the sticker program.

The act of putting unnecessary ugly advertising stickers on electronics is, quite frankly, a disgusting practice.
Not really when these are more for branding purposes than advertising purposes. I don't expect the layman to know how to figure out if their computer has an Intel or AMD CPU, nor do I expect even the person at the local Best Buy floor to figure this out. And even if they did, seeing the sticker is many times faster than trying to figure out what's in it.

I mean, if we take this to the logical extreme, shall we say any product with branding on it is ugly and disgusting and should be done away with?
