guys can u tell me what it means by when u say a game has gone "gold"? i dont think or cant remember if ive come across this term

If u do things right.... People won't be sure you've done anything at all......
 
It's gone to the press....it's being packaged for distribution. I'm thinking 2 weeks til it hits the shelves!

Yeah, it just means that the game is finished, so it has gone off to production.

Now they are supposed to be working on a demo to be released after the full version hits the shelves.
I wish they would do it in reverse so we could try the demo first to see if we would really like the game.
Im sure the game will RAWK anyway.

$55 for Doom 3 is a fair price considering the game that you're getting. If you are worried about saving a few bucks then you better get comfortable- games like Diablo 2, MOHAA, and The Sims all took several years to drop from their initial retail price. I paid $40 for Far Cry, but I gladly would have paid $50 for it.
