Dorm Xbox Wifi

I live in a college dorm. When i use my xbox, i can watch HBO and Netflix on the wifi, but not on the ethernet. When I try to play games in online multiplyer, i can use the ethernet, but not the wifi. My ethernet is not very strong and the online gaming rarely works with it. So what i want to do is, i want to try and make the ethernet speed faster so i can play online. What ways can i do this?

Dont think you can use both. It's either one or the other. It'll do the same thing if you try to do it on a computer

Forgot to mention, but the etehrnet rarely works with the online gaming. so i want to boost the ethernet speed so the online gaming will work.

Disable the wifi then. Using one or the other obviously uses more bandwidth than the other
