Dose Anyone Know If This Setup Will Work?

So I am planning on giving away my GPU to my friend that isnt as wealthy to buy one. So I was going to give him my MSI R9 380 4gb. He has a older pc, currently the Gateway DX4870. I know the GPU will make it under the audio ports, but I am not 100% sure if it will fit under the ram slots. Also, I am going to have to get him a new Power supply, because I know that one wont have the two power connecter for the GPU. What I want to know, will a modern Power supply fully work with this old motherboard? Its the DX4870 . Thanks
