Dota 2, FPS dropped from 120 to 50 recently !!! GTX 960

Hi guys,

I used to play DOTA2 @ high settings and always get 110-120 FPS (Even with ultra settings). However, around one week ago (after some Windows 10 updates) DOTA2 FPS dropped to 50 FPS and the game is not running as smooth as it should be (some minor spikes) and its been the same since then i tried may things it didnt work (Even when i play at lowest settings i still get 50 FPS max).

I installed the latest driver from NVIDIA, still same issue. Is it because of that last windows 10 update?

My PC specs:

-CPU: Inter core i5-6600k @ 3.50GHz
-GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 960 2GB DDR5
-RAM: 16GB
-M/B: Assus pro gaming

I don't have much of a solution for you per say.. but, I have a laptop with windows 10 on it... it's not an amazing laptop but i used to play some games on it... then.. i got some update from win10... and my FPS/Graphics dropped dramatically i cant even game anymore.... but that's my "mobile device" lets say.. i havent looked into it.

you should be able to revert your windows to a date before the update. and try it out. or you could try clean reverse your pc (reset windows) and try reinstalling again. these are my only suggestion (but i said i didnt have a solution 😛)

That update could have put some software back to defaults. I had to redo all my nvidia control panel changes as well as my real tek profiles
