Hi there. I'm building my first computer alone. I just want to make sure I have this build right. I put some time into it and am ready to purchase. I think I have it sorted out fine. But, in case I missed something I want to make sure.

CPU Intel i5-4670k

Motherboard Gigabyte Z87-D3HP

GPU Nvidia EVGA GeForce GTX 770 4 GB

Memory Kingston Hyper X Blu 8 GB 1600 MHz

HDD WD Blue 1 TB

Cooler Cooler Master 212

Case Corsair 400r (also I'm going to put one additional 120mm intake on the bottom and a 120mm exhaust on the top)

PSU SilverStone Strider Plus 750W

Monitor Acer G246HLA 24"

OS Windows 8

Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear it's looking good.

I just have two things.

First, is there any reason you recommend that RAM over the ram I purchased? From everything I read it doesn't matter much what kind of RAM I get. I got this RAM from a list recommended by a computer website. Basically, "cheap and good. Can't go wrong" was the recommendation.

The second RAM you linked is quite a bit more (percentage of cost). The first has a large heat spreader, which I was told not to get as it will cause problems fitting on the motherboard. Do you think it will be ok, though?

Second, I agree about the PSU. It's actually not my first choice. The thing is I live in Japan. I'm purchasing most things from back home and having someone ship them to me. I had two worries - first, I was worried how a non-Japanese PSU would perform under Japanese lower voltage settings. Probably not a big deal, but I'm neurotic about it since my current computer I'm replacing developed problems around the PSU (laptop, motherboard has gone to crap. it shorts out and smells like burning).

Second, shipping costs. The PSU adds significant weight to the package.

This PSU was about the same as my preferred one. I couldn't find a Gold+ certified one without paying another $60 or more for the same wattage. I then looked up the cost / year breakdown between Gold vs Silver. It was different, but not too different. It didn't offset the price increase (things are ridiculously expensive in Japan) so I felt OK going with the silver.

The PSU is Silver+ rating. Also, I believe it's on the Tier One list you posted. But, as I've stated I'm a noob so I might have messed something up. Here's the PSU.

On the list you linked it has the "SilverStone ZF Series"

I believe mine is a ZF series. Did I make a mistake?

Again, thank you for the reply. I really appreciate it. I'm glad to know I've actually managed at the least to stumble my way into an 80% good build.

Oh well the reason I recommended the ram is because it is faster at the same price in USD, but if parts are cheaper in Japan, go for that ram. Also for the PSU try to find one that has a gold+ power efficiency and if that is out of your price range here's a list of various psus based on quality.

Try to get a tier one or two psu. If you can't find any then yes that psu should do fine
