Hi all, I've been lurking and enjoying this group for some time now.
I've run into a problem. Amalexia has sent me to Sotha Sill, I'm in
the first chamber of the outer flooded halls. When I open the first
door there is an identical door there (in the same place) that will
not open. Any ideas on what is going on. I've had this happen with
some mods before but never the offical game. This is my second time
through tribunal and I do not remember this happening before. I've
tried the console command to transport me but it won't work. But then
I may not be doing in correctly.

In case a mod did the damage, deactivating the mod might not solve the
problem. I suppose, the mod overwrote some of the game's datafiles.
Maybe you should try to re-install Tribunal.

Enable console, click on a blocking door, type on the console
disable
followed by <enter> key, there you go.

This is why the origina game - and the addons are
masterfiles. They are read-only and cannot be overwritten by any mod.

The problem is probably caused by a mod, that
wrongly reference this particular door. In this case
the non-functioning door can only be opened in
that particular mods "universe" If this is a house
somewhere, this door can only be opened by
opening the correct door in the house.
If this is the reason, re-installing tribunal will
not solve the problem

Load tribunal in the constructor set and find that
door, in order to get its unique id. look it up under
'doors' in the object list, and check under 'info'

It will give all instances in the game of that door.
One of these doors has the same id as your door.
The modder will have forgotten to give his door an
unique id, and thereby copied a duplicate whereever
this door already existed.

When you find (hopefully) the *culprit* check the id.
If it the same as the one you wrote down, jut adding
your initials in front of it, will make it unique. saving
it under this new name will remove the duplicates all over the game

This depends .... If the modder clone an existing door
but forgets to give it an unique id, his door will duplicate
all instances of that door, ie add it to the already existing doors as an
extra door. This clone *belongs*
to the modders door and can only be opened by
opening this door. But if this door gets its own unique
id, the clones will disappear again

The same thing happens if you happens to have two
copies of the same mod activated. All the furniture and
doors will be doubled

Thanks for the help. I finally got through with the COC console command.
For your info when I "disable" the door with the console the door did
disappear but I still hit an invisible wall. I intend to try Merlin's
suggestion just to satisfy my curiosity.

Thanks
